I’m finding that most CVs I receive look the same now.
Same clean layout. Same confident summary. Same list of “spearheaded”, “aligned” and “orchestrated”. Tools that rewrite your CV in thirty seconds are everywhere, and a lot of people are using them. Fair enough. The CVs look professional, are well written, but it turns out to be a case of style over substance.
Here’s the thing: most of the CVs that recruiters read are terrible. It may sound like a hard thing to say, but it’s true. A recruiter might get 100 CVs, perhaps five of them are OK. Enough said.
