They need a proven leader to develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy, expand their market presence, and manage key relationships across retail and hospitality sectors. Your Mission: Key Responsibilities
You will be accountable for strategic sales leadership and team performance:
- Strategy & P&L: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed ambitiousrevenue targets and business objectives.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team, setting clear KPIs, providing coaching, and conducting regular performance reviews.
- Account Management: Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts, including distributors,retailers, and hospitality partners.
- Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities and strategic partnerships to expand market share.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct market analysis to track trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights, using data to inform sales strategy.
- Brand Representation: Represent the brand at high-profile industry events, trade shows, and client presentations.
What You’ll Bring: Essential Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in a sales leadership or management role within the wines and spirits industry.
- Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of the wines and spirits market, including products, sales channels, and consumer behaviour.
- Certifications: Possession of relevant wine certificates (e.g., WSET, Cape Wine Academy) is highly valued. A degree or diploma in Business or Marketing is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of a CRM platform.
- Attributes: Exceptional leadership, negotiation, communication skills, and a results-oriented, highly motivated approach.
- Logistics: Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
