Intermediate Structural/Civil Engineer

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct detailed structural inspections and evaluate existing buildings for safety and compliance with South African codes and regulations.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports outlining findings and recommending remedial actions.
• Design and plan warehouses and perform reinforced concrete design.
• Produce high-quality structural drawings using AutoCAD or Revit.
• Model and analyze existing structures with software like Prokon.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree (BSc, BEng, or BTech) in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university or institute.
• Experience: 2-5 years of experience in structural and civil design. On-site experience is a bonus!
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in structural modeling and analysis using Prokon.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Excellent report writing abilities.
  • Strong structural design and construction knowledge.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Personal Attributes: Keen eye for detail, strong time management skills, basic physical fitness, and comfort with working at heights and on roofs/structures.
• Travel: Willingness to travel throughout South Africa, drive long distances, fly to other provinces or countries, and stay overnight when required.
• Logistics: A valid driver’s licence (essential) and own transport (preferred), and your own health insurance.
