This is a pivotal role responsible for the creation, management, and optimization of high-fidelity Building Information Models (BIM) using Autodesk Revit.

If you are a structural modelling expert ready to ensure the accurate representation and coordination of major projects, we invite your application. You will report directly to the Director and play a crucial part in every project phase.

You will be the driving force behind our digital models, ensuring accuracy and collaboration across all disciplines:

  • Structural Modelling: Develop and maintain detailed 3D Revit models of complex structural components (concrete, steel, timber).
  • BIM Coordination: Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and MEP teams to execute coordinated designs and perform regular quality checks and clash detection.
  • Documentation: Generate precise construction documentation directly from Revit models, including plans, sections, and structural details.
  • Standards: Implement and rigorously adhere to project-specific and company-wide BIM standards and workflows.
  • Project Lifecycle Support: Actively support design iterations and updates from conceptualization through to final documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for a specialist who possesses both technical proficiency and a solid understanding of structural methodology:

  • Revit Mastery: Proven proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Structural module) is essential.
  • Technical Foundation: Solid understanding of structural engineering principles and construction methods.
  • BIM Tools: Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection tools (e.g., Navisworks) is required.
  • Experience: Ideally, 2+ years of experience in a similar structural modelling role.
  • Education: A diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field is preferred (but not essential).
  • Time Zone Flexibility: Flexibility to attend online meetings outside of standard South African business hours to accommodate collaboration with our Australian office time zone (AEST/AEDT).
  • Advantageous: Access to a reliable personal laptop and relevant design software is highly advantageous for a streamlined onboarding process.

Why Join Us?

  • Impactful Projects: Exposure to high-impact infrastructure and major building projects.
  • Growth: Excellent opportunities for professional development focused on advanced BIM and structural design.
