This successful firm of consulting engineers is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient 3D Modeller to join their structural engineering team in Sandton. This is a pivotal role responsible for the creation, management, and optimization of high-fidelity Building Information Models (BIM) using Autodesk Revit.

What You’ll Be Doing: Key Responsibilities
You will be the driving force behind our digital models, ensuring accuracy and collaboration across all disciplines:
- Structural Modelling: Develop and maintain detailed 3D Revit models of complex structural components (concrete, steel, timber).
- BIM Coordination: Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and MEP teams to execute coordinated designs and perform regular quality checks and clash detection.
- Documentation: Generate precise construction documentation directly from Revit models, including plans, sections, and structural details.
- Standards: Implement and rigorously adhere to project-specific and company-wide BIM standards and workflows.
- Project Lifecycle Support: Actively support design iterations and updates from conceptualization through to final documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for a specialist who possesses both technical proficiency and a solid understanding of structural methodology:
- Revit Mastery: Proven proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Structural module) is essential.
- Technical Foundation: Solid understanding of structural engineering principles and construction methods.
- BIM Tools: Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection tools (e.g., Navisworks) is required.
- Experience: Ideally, 2+ years of experience in a similar structural modelling role.
- Education: A diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field is preferred (but not essential).
- Time Zone Flexibility: Flexibility to attend online meetings outside of standard South African business hours to accommodate collaboration with our Australian office time zone (AEST/AEDT).
