This is the South African office of a European company that is a leading developer of logistics software.

As part of their plans to expand, they have an opening for an IT Support Advisor to join their international customer service team. The role will focus on providing friendly and efficient customer support for their transport management application on the phone, by e-mail and by remote maintenance sessions. The scope of the role will cover identification and analysis of technical problems and finding solutions to fix them.

There will also be travel to client’s sites to install software, configuration of software and providing customer training.

As a member of the external service team you are eligible to receive and performance bonus.

The ideal person will have a background in IT support and an understanding of the logistics sector would be a major advantage.

This ambitious company is looking to expand into Africa, so you must be comfortable dealing with a range of customers from different countries.

If you have real drive and ambition to develop your IT career, this company will provide you with the platform you need to succeed. You will need an excellent work ethic, a desire to work independently and limitless drive.

Key requirements:

 

  • Experience in customer IT support and/or IT service desk.
  • Knowledge of SQL databases (essential).
  • Ideally experience of logistics solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Experience of training
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude.
  • Valid drivers’ license.
